Before the place was turned into a tourist spot in 2014, it used to be a hideout for the people of Uganda during the war times in Uganda’s genocide. Musanze caves have a series of stairs and trails to avoid tourist accidents while down in the caves. A guided trip in these caves takes approximately 2-3 hours.
